Nam Dinh: Industrial Production Index Increased by 29.49% in January 2025
According to data released by the Nam Dinh Statistics Office, the province’s Industrial Production Index (IIP) in January 2025 increased by 29.49% compared to the same period in 2024, driven largely by contributions from newly established enterprises.
Among the major sectors, manufacturing and processing recorded a growth rate of 29.86%, contributing 29.18 percentage points to the overall increase. Electricity production and distribution rose by 2.82%, while water supply, waste management, and treatment activities increased by 27.26%.
Several key sub-industries also posted strong growth:
- Leather and related products manufacturing: +48.32%
- Textile production: +47.38%
- Food processing and manufacturing: +26.02%
- Garment manufacturing: +22.57%
- Electrical equipment manufacturing: +18.34%
According to the Nam Dinh Statistics Office, computer products manufactured by QMH Computer Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Quanta Group, have emerged as a significant new contributor to industrial output. The company is estimated to generate monthly revenue ranging from VND 1.7 trillion to over VND 2 trillion during the first months of 2025, making a substantial contribution to the province’s industrial production value.
