Thu Dau Mot – Tao Dan Metro Line: A New Connecting Axis Between Binh Duong and the Core of Ho Chi Minh City

The Thu Dau Mot – Tao Dan metro line is being researched as a crucial link in the expanding urban railway network of Ho Chi Minh City. Not only does it expand connectivity between the former Binh Duong area and the central region, but the line can also contribute to restructuring commuting patterns and enhancing connectivity among urban poles.

According to the updated dossier of September 2026, the line has a research scope of approximately 33.2 km, with about 17.8 km elevated and the remainder underground, featuring 24 stations including 11 elevated stations and 13 underground stations. The starting point is expected to connect with station S5 of the New Binh Duong City – Suoi Tien line in Binh Duong Ward; the terminal point is in the Tao Dan area, connecting with the Ben Thanh – Tham Luong line. The project is finalizing its feasibility study report and related procedures, aiming for commencement by the end of 2026.

From transport connectivity to new urban structure

The proposed route is expected to pass through Hung Vuong, Pham Ngoc Thach, Binh Duong Avenue, and National Highway 13 axes before reaching the central area of Ho Chi Minh City. Once the network is completed, residents of former Binh Duong will have an additional option to connect with the center through the urban railway system instead of relying primarily on roadways.

For real estate, metro systems create additional connectivity advantages but are not the sole factor determining project value. Legal status, progress, product quality, financial resources, and the execution capability of the developer remain key criteria.

QP Holdings prepares resources through specific projects

QP Holdings is a reputable and professional real estate developer in Vietnam, operating in three core sectors: Residential Real Estate, Industrial Real Estate, and Financial Investment; with Residential Real Estate being the strategic pillar.

In the center of New Binh Duong City, QP Holdings is implementing QP D7 & D17 with a total scale of approximately 1.94 ha, 139,288 m² of floor area, 20 floors, and 2,079 apartments, scheduled to commence construction in Q1/2027. The projects are being implemented according to the legal and investment roadmap; D17 in particular is continuing to complete necessary steps for the next phase.

Concurrently, QP Green Park is a project that clearly demonstrates the enterprise’s execution capability. The project has completed procedures regarding planning, investment, and infrastructure construction; the traffic connection item with DT.742 has been completed, inspected, and put into use. QS Land participates as the Exclusive Distributor and Marketer of the project, SCQC acts as the supervision consultant, and An Đức undertakes construction.

QP Holdings currently owns 99.63% of the capital in Quang Phuc House Development Co., Ltd. – the investor of QP Green Park – and the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders has approved the policy to implement a construction contract with a maximum value of VND 881.25 billion during the 2026–2027 period. In 2025, the enterprise also mobilized VND 272 billion, raising its charter capital to over VND 333 billion, creating additional resources for the next development phase.

Metro can change the commuting structure of the region, but the long-term value of real estate still depends on the ability to translate infrastructure advantages into concretely executed products.

Placing ‘Prestige and Quality’ as the development foundation, QP Holdings remains steadfast in its mission to create value, accompanying the long-term and sustainable prosperity of customers, partners, and shareholders; while affirming its capability through legal status, resources, progress, and execution results in each project.
